The gulf is one of the few places in Costa Rica where several dolphin species can regularly be observed in the same area. Depending on the season, you may also encounter sea turtles, rays, and other marine wildlife.

From July through September, humpback whales frequently enter the gulf to breed and raise their calves, offering unforgettable wildlife encounters.
