Our expedition begins with a scenic 20-minute boat ride along the stunning shoreline, heading toward Punta Cahuita. This majestic horseshoe-shaped bay serves as our gateway to Costa Rica’s largest coral reef system. Here, you will gear up for two distinct snorkeling sessions led by our expert marine guide. Beneath the crystal-clear turquoise waves lies a mesmerizing underwater world featuring 6 distinct coral species and a colorful parade of tropical reef fish. Keep your eyes peeled as you glide over the seabeds—it is common to spot friendly sea turtles, stingrays, and harmless reef sharks navigating this marine wonderland.

From Coral Reefs to Coastal Rainforest

After exploring the marine park, we make landfall on a pristine, white-sand beach for a relaxing interlude. Take a moment to soak in the laid-back Caribbean vibes while enjoying a spread of fresh, hydrating tropical fruits and cold drinks on the shore.
The second half of your adventure moves into the shade of the dense coastal forest. Your naturalist guide will lead you on a captivating 1-hour educational trek down the park's flat jungle trail. Walking right where the jungle meets the sea creates a unique ecosystem with a high concentration of wildlife. With the help of your guide's trained eyes and spotting scope, you will have front-row seats to see wild sloths lounging in the branches, howler and white-faced capuchin monkeys swinging through the trees, iguanas, and brightly colored toucans. Look closer at the forest floor to spot tiny, vibrant poison dart frogs hidden among the lush tropical foliage.
