Choose Your Adventure
Class II & III (Balsa River): Ideal for families and beginners. This section offers a fun, scenic ride with lively "splashing" rapids and plenty of opportunities to spot sloths and monkeys in the overhanging trees.
Class III & IV (Sarapiquí River): Designed for those seeking a higher level of adrenaline. Navigate steeper drops and more technical maneuvers on one of Costa Rica’s most pristine and beautiful rivers.
Daily Itinerary
Pick-up: Direct pick-up from your hotel in a comfortable, air-conditioned van.
Preparation & Safety (1 hour approx.): Arrive at the river for a thorough safety briefing and paddling instruction. We’ll get you fitted with your helmet and life jacket.
The Descent (2 hours approx.): Hit the water! You’ll spend roughly two hours navigating the rapids, with a break for fruit and swimming in calmer sections.
Lunch & Refresh: Head to a local restaurant to change into dry clothes and enjoy a hearty Costa Rican meal.
03:00 PM – Return: Relax on the scenic drive back to your hotel in La Fortuna.
